Hey all, after just seeing that both Ben and Jeremy posted blogs I figured I probably should as well. We've been super busy the past couple weeks. We got a home loan and looked for a bit, then found one that we really liked. We had the inspection done on Friday and there were a couple things that need to be checked out before we close, but it all depends on if the current owner will pay for those things to get checked out. I can't imagine that they wouldn't pay, I figure if they don't do it for us they'll end up having to do it for someone else or else they may not sell the house. On the other hand, they might get someone who doesn't get a home inspection done, then they won't have to pay. Anyways, it's been a little stressful, and along with a crazy busy semester at school, plus work and family, it's been a little trying.
School's going pretty good so far. I'm taking pre-calculus, Accounting, Survey of Western Literature from the Civil War to the present, and Business Communications. Math and Accounting are fun classes, my literature class is boring as hell but it's kind of interesting, and Business Communications is probably the biggest waste of class that I've ever had, but it's easy, so that counts for something, right?
Colleen's doing good, she's been taking the lead on most of the financial stuff for the house, so that's been stressing her out a little bit. She's still enjoying her job at the VA, and she started to bring a painting teacher in on Fridays for a special class. She says he's kind of like Bob Ross, and she's had a good response from the veterans that are taking part in it.
Silas is awesome, he's starting to talk a lot more, and counted to three tonight on our way home from our friend Adams house. He'll answer questions with a yes or no, although unless you're talking about food and playing I'm not sure he fully understands what you're a sing him. Sometimes if you ask him something he'll go "um...", it's pretty funny and words don't do it justice but if anyone else's kids have ever done that you'll know what I'm talking about. If you don't have kids, well, I don't know. Anyways, Here are some pictures of Silas. We got those boots for him and he loves to wear them as much as he can. They're a couple sizes too big so he sometimes has a hard time walking. It's amusing. He can do a somersault now, too. That's been a lot of fun. Well, hope everyone's doing well, I probably won't post again until I get out of school in May but we'll see. Colleen posts a lot of pictures on Facebook, so you may have already seen these.
