More pictures...........Again

Here are some more pictures. It was pretty nice today so Colleen took him out in the front yard and had what she called a "fashion photo shoot". The first picture is the only decent one we got from bath time the other day. And by decent I mean nice picture, not one in which he's all covered. So, things are going good. Colleen weighed him today and he was 9lbs 10oz, so it seems like his growth spurt is slowing a bit. He's sleeping longer in the night, not needing to wake up and eat every two hours like he has been. Let's see....what else.......we got our hay bale garden planted. Actually, Colleen got it planted. As soon as stuff starts growing good I'll take a couple pictures so you all know what it's like. Hope everyone is doing good.

More Pictures

Here are some more pictures. Colleen weighed him yesterday(Tuesday) and he was at 8lbs 14oz. So he's gaining a little over a pound each week for now. He eats a lot. He doesn't seem much bigger to me, just a little extra fat on his legs and face, but other than that, he still seems pretty skinny to me. He fits into his clothes now lengthwise, almost too big that way, but as far as width goes he's still got some room to grow. He'll get there though. Mom and Dad and Tim came last weekend, that was a lot of fun. That's pretty much it. Oh, here's something interesting that doesn't have to do with Silas, so if that's all you're here for you might as well stop reading now. Colleen and I are trying a very neat way of gardening this year. Her mom sent us this article about how to use hay bales as a raised bed. You set 4 of them up in a square with a space in the middle, then spread fertilizer and compost on top. In the middle you just fill the hole with soil and that is where the root veggies will go. Then you water it really good every day for ten days, and it starts to compost a little bit, then you plant your stuff. As the season goes on, it continues to compost in on itself, and then when the next planting season comes along, you have nice heaping pile of fresh compost to use. It's pretty neat and this is the first time we've had our own garden, so we;re pretty excited about it. That's the excitement in our lives right now. Hope everyone is doing good.

More Pictures

So here are some more pictures. Again. He's doing really good. We went to the pediatrician today and got him weighed, and he's back up to his birth weight. I don't know how many of you know but he lost almost a pound in the hospital, but now he's back and since last Thursday he's gained a little over an ounce each day. We're pretty excited. Colleen's doing really good. That's about all.
