Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you all! Hope everyone had a wonderful day! Here are some pictures!

He loves his new keyboard!

This one is from the other day when he was helping me make cookies. He did okay for a bit until he realized he could pick out chocolate chips while my back was turned.

Long time

Hello all, here are some pictures. The first one is from him waking up this morning and how he always needs to bring his bear and worm with him from his crib when we get him up. Colleen just had to take a picture of it. The others are from last week when he was helping me rake the yard.

I'm out of school for the week, which is good because I really need a break. I just wish I could take the week off work as well. We're going up to Colleen's moms house for dinner on Thursday. Other than that, not much else is going on. Hope everyone has a good holiday.

More Pictures

Michael and Amanda got him the shirt in Jackson, so I figured they might like to see some pictures of him in it. That's about it. We've been going for bike rides lately, we got him a little seat that connects to my bike. He seems to enjoy it except for having to wear a helmet. It's fun though. Hope everyone's doing well.

Long time

Hey all,

It's been a while since I've posted anything, so I figured I should probably do it now when I have a free second. We've been busy here, school started a couple weeks ago, so that's been keeping me busy. Colleen's been keeping busy trying to keep up with Silas. He's a very busy boy, he gets in to everything. He always wants to help though. He likes to put things in the garbage, whether they belong in it or not, and is always willing to help us feed the cat. He figured out that he's now strong enough to lift the container we keep the cat food in, and he figured out how to open it as well. Needless to say we don't keep the cat food where he can reach it. His new fun that just started is telling us "no" when we're trying to do something....like getting him to eat, getting dressed, changing diapers. That's been fun. Now instead of our most spoken word to Silas being "no", I think it will have to start being "yes". We had a good time in New York, got to see lots of people and Silas got spoiled rotten for almost two weeks. He spent most of his time on the trampoline with cousins Lane and Vera. It was almost like we didn't have a child for 10 days. Other than that, not much else has been going on. Here's a couple slide shows. The first one is from our "camping" trip back in June. I had posted a slideshow but then it got removed because there was a picture of Silas' bare butt on it so it violated the terms and conditions. Strange, huh? We rented a Yurt with our friends Ben and Christy and spent the night. It was a lot of fun. Anyways, the other one is from New York and also from dinner time last night when Colleen taught him how to play with his food. Anyways, hope everyone is doing great!

Cardboard box fun

Hey all, so it was raining on Friday and we were all getting a little stir crazy. Then our diapers got delivered in a big box, so I thought, I'm going to tie some string to the box and pull him around the house. That should be fun for him, right? Not only was it fun for him, it was the craziest, scariest fun he's ever had. Here are some pictures from it.

The one above is by far our favorite. It really captures the intense fear AND excitement that we think he was experiencing.

Chicken Coop

Here's a video from the other day when we were helping Mike and Lindsey build a chicken coop in their backyard. Silas climbed in it and was having the time of his life.

Birthday Photos and other stuff

Hi everyone! Here are a few photos from Silas' birthday party a few weeks ago and then some from him and Colleen playing outside today. Everything's going good here. I only have one more week left of school, which boils down to only 3 more classes, so I'm very excited to have a little break for the summer. Camping and fishing and vacation! I know it will go by way too fast though, but it will still be lots of fun. Hope everyone else is doing good!

Crazy Boy!

This is a picture Colleen did with her new camera. It just shows how busy he is and all the palces he visits in about a 3 minute time span. He had an ear infection last week, so that was fun. Other than that, everything's going good.

Silas Dancing

Here are some more pictures and a video I took this morning of him dancing. These photos are from last week or something when Colleen gave him some beets. I was going to make a reference to eating human flesh but Colleen ruined it all by putting these on facebook first. Anyways, hope everyone is doing good.

More pictures!

Hi all, it's been a while, but I can say the same thing for Ben and Jeremy, too. Anyways, Silas is walking really good now. It's pretty cute, in order to keep his balance he keeps his elbows bent with his hands up next to his ears. Of course, I don't think we have any pictures of that exactly, but I'll try. Here are a few pictures. We got Colleen a new camera the other day so this is from her testing it out. We have some pictures of him eating beets that mom really wanted to see but those will have to wait, their on the other computer and I only have these photos on this computer and I don't really feel like dealing with the other computer right now. Here are some pictures, enjoy!

Pictures!

Hello everyone! Here are some pictures that we've taken over the past couple weeks. At the end is a video as well. The first part of the video was taken a couple months ago, then the next part was taken last week I think. Silas took a couple of steps today all by himself then promptly fell down. He seems to be getting braver and braver about letting go of stuff as he's holding on to it. He can stand by himself really good, now he just needs to learn to put one foot in front of the other. Things are going good, I start back to school on Tuesday so I'm looking forward to that. Hope everyone else is doing good!

This one above and below were taken after he had fallen head first on to the edge of his toy bin in the living room. If you look closely above his left eye you can see the welt that formed. It was pretty nasty looking at first but went down after a couple days.
